How do I access files from a Mac?

IBackup is compatible with the Macintosh platform. You can use IBackup Drive for Mac if you are using Mac OS X and higher. For lower versions, we recommend IBGoliath.

You can also use IBackup's browser based Web-Manager to browse and share the files using any standard browser for Macintosh. Click accessing files from a Mac for details.

IBackup strongly recommends Stuffit to compress files before you transfer them to IBackup accounts, using FTP or Goliath.

What are the limitations of the default WebDAV client on MacOS X?

The default WebDAV client has the following limitations:

2. Lack of SSL support to transfer files/folders between your IBackup account and local machine.

IBGoliath is ideal for transfer of large files as also its SSL support for MacOS X.

Can I directly open my files from your disk?

To open files from the disk, use IBackup Drive for Mac.

Alternately, you can mount a WebDAV volume on your OS X. For this, mount the IBackup account on Mac OS X. Select the Connect to Server command from the Finder (Finder, GO, Connect to Server) or press Command K. Within the Connect to Server window, type in the name of the IBackup's url to your account.

Example: http://webdav.ibackup.com/users/mjohn/Files. Replace 'mjohn' with your username.
